Earlier this week, lobbyist Chris Cox spoke at the National Rifle Association (NRA) convention. During his time on stage, Cox talked about socialism and vowed that real Americans would never allow the country to descend into such lunacy.
Apparently, this didn’t sit well with Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Ilhan Omar, both of whom are known for being radical far-leftists. Both congresswomen subsequently took to Twitter in order to air their grievances with the NRA, as documented by Fox News.
The NRA vs. AOC and Omar
The Democrats’ far left regression into socialism continues to become more and more apparent, particularly as they advocate for policies which would absolutely decimate America as we know it. Therefore, Cox shared his thoughts on the matter and why capitalism will ultimately prevail in the United States.
In his own words:
“The socialist wave we warned was coming is here. And it’s not just the two coasts that are underwater, the wave is hitting the heartland of America…but as this circus goes on, millions of Americans will see how far outside the mainstream these socialists have become. Friends, do you think Nancy Pelosi and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez are mainstream in the United States of America? Are they in for a rude awakening in November of next year when the real America goes to the polls? I’m talking about the America you and I know!”
Now, this didn’t sit very well with Ocasio-Cortez or Omar.
Both of the elected officials fired back with the following tweets:

Ocasio-Cortez and Omar may feel smug now, but if there’s one thing their time in the House of Representatives is teaching Americans, it’s the dangers of socialism and radical far-leftism.
The majority of Americans do not want to live in a socialist society. The majority of Americans want to be able to travel in gas-fueled cars and airplanes and not be forced to turn over their hardearned money to those who are “unwilling” to work. Progressives and Democrats of today stand in direct opposition to what the majority of Americans want and this will evidence itself in time.
As Chris Cox stated during his speech, the radical, socialist values of the far left do not represent real America.
