Radical socialists and others on the far-left continue to articulate their disappointment with Joe Biden’s candidacy for president of the United States. The many reasons behind these disappointments will come very soon and are documented on Fox News.
Why Don’t Socialists and Progressives Like Biden?
At the end of the day, the socialist and progressive pushback which Biden is experiencing within his party is the result of one thing: socialists and progressives simply do not believe that the former vice president is far enough to the left.
Furthermore, these two factions of the Democrat Party believe that radical leftism will take them across the finish line in 2020 and ensure that they beat President Trump once and for all.
Bhaskar Sunkara, an editor for Jacobin Magazine, priorly shared his issues with Biden running for office.
In Sunkara’s own words:
“Simply pointing to the Trump administration and saying ‘this is not normal’ won’t be enough to rally people into the voting booth. Although he seems to believe so, a Biden victory is not preordained. He could conceivably get edged out by a candidate, like Sanders, bold enough to offer a genuinely alternative vision for America – not just shielding us from the nightmare of Trump, but providing us with aspirations for the future.”

Sunkara also stated that a “real progressive agenda” combined with the Democrats’ uniting against Biden as a party is best for the general election. This agenda admittedly includes Medicare-for-All, the Green New Deal, “free” college and the works. All in all, it’s a nightmare to any American who doesn’t identify as a socialist or communist, but progressives love it.
They truly believe that going as far left as possible is the best way to defeat President Trump in 2020.
Since Biden’s entry into the 2020 presidential race, he has maintained a lead amongst Democrat voters. However, Biden’s moderate and centrist leanings are a major thorn in the side of progressives and a constant source of censure. At this time, it remains to be seen whether or not Biden will be able to maintain his lead as the far-left continues to attack him.
