Last year, former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo was disgraced and forced to step down from office after multiple women accused him of harassing them sexually.
Cuomo denied this behavior, claimed his actions were misconstrued, and otherwise painted scenarios where he was the supposed victim. However, none of this stopped Cuomo from basically having to either resign from office or face impeachment.
Given the optics of the latter, Cuomo chose the former.
However, word has spread that the New York Democrat is looking for a comeback and looking to restore his position in politics.
Apparently, a huge part of that comeback now involves trashing political rivals who didn’t defend him amid accusations of sexual impropriety, per Washington Examiner.
Cuomo’s Interview With the New York Post
While speaking with the New York Post, he again painted himself as the one who’s been wronged, rather than the women who accuse him of sexually harassing them.
Cuomo isn’t pleased that his decades-long friendships with Joe Biden and Nancy Pelosi didn’t inspire them to defend him when his accusers came forward.

Likewise, the former New York governor claimed the experience of Democratic allies calling for his ouster without first reaching out to him was “traumatizing.” In the case of Biden, Cuomo claimed to have willingly stood by him when he was under fire.
Other Democrats who Cuomo claimed let him down are former President Barack Obama, Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer.
Each of the individuals mentioned has yet to issue a public response to the ex-governor’s declarations.
Out For Revenge?
Cuomo’s behavior, as of late, speaks more of someone who wants revenge for being disgraced and forced out of power.
The former governor’s namedropping of allies that he believes should have backed him, amid his scandals, comes after his decision to hit New York Attorney General Letitia James with an ethics complaint.

Cuomo alleges that James’ investigation of him was not appropriate, was defamatory, and used as a stepping stone for her to advance her own political career.
After this complaint was filed, James released a statement claiming the evidence confirmed Cuomo’s guilt and the people of New York are ready to move past this issue.
At this point in time, it remains to be seen what Cuomo will do next, what further measures he’ll take to try to clean up his image, etc. Though it might be wise for Cuomo not to hold his breath on getting back into the New York governor’s mansion.
