The right to bear arms is not only a fundamental Constitutional right, but also a critical component of freedom in America, as documented by Townhall.
This is something which Americans on both sides of the aisle are aware of; however, while the right-wing seeks to preserve the right to bear arms and remain free, the left-wing overwhelingly strives to erode these freedoms.
Why the Left Fears an Armed Citizenry
At the end of the day, Democrats’ constant assault on the right to bear arms comes down to this: they do not truly want Americans to be free. It’s as simple as that. The left has become increasingly more radical and extreme, as have their policies. They don’t want Americans to have access to private healthcare, gas-powered cars, or air travel. Leftists have made it clear that socialism is their new mantra.
The reality is that the majority of Americans are not in favor of radical leftism. As one might imagine, this is problematic for extreme socialists who want to bulldoze their policies into the lives of the people in this country. At the end of the day, forcing socialism on an armed citizenry is extremely difficult, if not virtually impossible. However, when a citizenry is defenseless and unarmed, bulldozing your ways upon them requires a lot less of a challenge.
The Right to Bear Arms
When it’s all said and done, the right to bear arms is absolutely paramount. Government should never be in a position where they can rule the American people. The American people were always designed to rule over government, not the other way around.
At this time in American history, it’s more important than ever for the people to be armed. Politics is getting crazier and crazier; conservatives are being attacked in public and threatened by protesters at our homes. We must never get complacent and we can never give up the fundamental right to bear arms.
